Bruxism is a very common oral condition known by its symptoms of grinding or clenching of the teeth. You may not even know that this problem is affecting you, most people experience it in their sleep and it is typically a subconscious act commonly tied to stress. Learn more by reading below or checking out our website:

How do you know if you suffer from bruxism? Signs include:
• Headaches
• Sensitive teeth and gums
• Breakage of teeth
• Teeth changing shape over time
• Clicking/grinding sounds in your jaw
• Tenderness or fatigue in the jaw/aching muscles

If you notice any of the above symptoms, you may want to consider discussing this with your dentist at your next check-up. You could be a candidate for an occlusal splint. Occlusal splints (commonly known as a night guard) are designed to protect your teeth from the effects of bruxism. #TipTuesday #Bruxism #OcclusalSplint #ProtectYourTeeth
