Bridges
A dental bridge is a natural-looking fixed restoration used to fill the space left by a missing tooth. Bridges commonly attach to the teeth on either side of the missing space with crowns or dental implants. A bridge can be designed to replace one missing tooth, or several consecutive teeth when necessary. Their secure fit allows you to chew, speak, smile, and perform other activities with confidence. Bridges also protect your surrounding natural teeth from becoming misaligned and creating bite and jaw problems. They are an effective way to improve your appearance while maintaining oral health.
The process to fabricate a bridge and ensure that it fits comfortably and seamlessly alongside your other teeth typically will take two visits to our office. The dentist will need to reduce the size of teeth that will have crowns. These abutment teeth, as they are called, must be healthy enough to support the crown and bridge. If they are decayed or broken, we will opt to either build them up or have them replaced with dental implants in order to support a crown. Once your abutment teeth or implants are prepared an impression is taken and sent to our dental lab to be fabricated. During this time we’ll make you a temporary bridge to wear to protect your teeth and gums. You’ll return to our office in a couple of weeks to have the permanent restoration fitted and cemented in to place.
What are people saying?
“Our entire family has been using Williams Family Dentistry for many years. Their communication is always great and prompt, the office is beautiful and comfortable (love the views of the woods from the cleaning chairs). All the hygienists are excellent. On this visit Sarah recognized that I was having a little discomfort at one point during the cleaning and said–no problem, let’s do this another way–which was so nice and appreciated!”

“Everything was seamless from scheduling, prompt check in, and right on time for my appointment. The office was beautifully decorated. I appreciated the thoroughness of my hygienist and Dr. Shanna. Thank you for making my family feel well cared for.”
Peggy S
“Impeccable as always, from the warm greeting by name as I entered, to the caring staff and services provider by all. I could not have asked for more calming hospitality in what for most, could be an unnerving experience, going to the dentist.”
