Digital X-Rays
Digital x-rays are rapidly becoming a general standard in the dental industry. A digital x-ray allows the dentist to take an image of your teeth and instantaneously places it into an imaging program. The days of having to leave the operatory to go to the dark room and wait for an image to process are gone. There are a number of tools within an imaging program that gives the dentist a greater advantage to take a very close look at the teeth and surrounding structures with remarkable accuracy. Digital x-rays provide nearly 80% less radiation than a standard x-ray, making it a great benefit to the patient. This is due to the fact that the digital version of the x-ray is much more sensitive to this radiation and has been specifically designed with the patient in mind.
